It is clear that the view from and of the development will be its most important influencing factor, given its prominent location next to the Southern Bypass and game park. As can already be appreciated from a visit to The Curve next door, there will be magnificent views over the open, natural landscape to the south, giving a huge sense of space and distance.

These qualities will present a dramatic contrast to busy city life and will be an important selling point for the development. Although still close to the city centre, there will be a striking sense of ‘getting away from it all’ that will make visiting and living at The View very special. In contrast, views to the north look towards the city with interesting views of city life below and the ever-emerging skyline of high-rise buildings beyond, culminating in the Britam Tower in Upper Hill. Clearly, it is these outstanding views that should be fully exploited as a fundamental part of any design proposal.
